From December 7, 2024, to February 16, 2025, the Kunsthalle Trier will transform the abandoned spaces of the Treviris Passage with the exhibition What to Do with Tenderness? This exhibition reimagines the passage as a space of care, where pressing social issues, alongside themes of caregiving, repair, and healing, take center stage. Here, care is presented not only as an interpersonal phenomenon but also through its political and structural dimensions. The exhibition engages in dialogue with the local community and the history of the location, inviting visitors to explore new forms of solidarity and mindfulness.
A variety of artistic media will be on display, including paintings, photography, objects, sculptures, and spatial installations by the following artists:
Banu Alpsü
Matthieu Croizier and David Weishaar
Sarah Decristoforo
Ángela Jiménez Durán
Vika Kirchenbauer
Simon Knab
Darja Linder
Marie-Luise Meister
Sophie Utikal
The exhibition is curated by Çağla Erdemir.
